Condor Energy Storage Project
Condor is an American energy project located in Grand Terrace, California, that has been in commercial operation since 2024. The facility is helping meet our country’s rapidly growing demand for electricity by delivering reliable, affordable, locally generated energy. It is strengthening the local economy and supporting public services through tax revenue, job creation, and long-term investment, while providing the electric system with the capacity needed to keep California homes and businesses powered.
The project features advanced battery storage technology selected for its strong safety performance, enabling electricity from the grid to be stored and then dispatched when it is needed most. This supports grid reliability, reduces strain on energy infrastructure, and helps stabilize electricity prices.
Once home to the Highgrove Steam Plant, which operated from 1952 to 2001, the Condor site in Grand Terrace has a long history of supporting regional energy needs and is now thoughtfully repurposed to deliver secure, reliable power to Southern California.

Prioritizing Safety
Safety is a top priority at Arevon, beginning with installing the most advanced technology available today. Compared to many alternative lithium-ion chemistries, Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) is less susceptible to thermal events and has become a preferred choice for utility-scale energy storage applications. The majority of our energy storage systems utilize LFP Megapack batteries, which are widely recognized across the industry for their stability and safety performance. Since their commercial introduction in North America, there have been no reported fire incidents involving LFP Megapacks.
Strengthening Communities
At Arevon, we don’t just develop energy projects — we show up, we listen, and we act as partners to the communities that make them possible. That means more than delivering electricity. It means supporting local priorities through volunteering, event sponsorships, and direct community investments.
As part of our long-term commitment, Arevon allocates a portion of each project’s capital cost to community benefits. We focus our resources on three key pillars: alleviating food and housing insecurity, supporting education with a focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), and promoting public health and safety.
