Chief Executive Officer
Justin Johnson is president and CEO with 19 years of experience of which 12 years in asset management and 7 years as an officer in the United States Air Force. Justin joined Capital Dynamics in May 2017 and stood-up CD Arevon which went live in December 2017. Prior to CD Arevon, Justin was at EDP Renewables for 10 years, where he led development & construction activities of renewables in the eastern US after having been responsible globally for asset management & performance management activities associated with operating nearly 10,000 MW of wind & solar projects. Prior to EDP, Justin was in the United States Air Force for 7 years, in various positions including flight testing, procurement and contract management. Justin holds a bachelor’s degree in Operations Research from the US Air Force Academy & an MBA from Babson College.
Chief Financial Officer
Jon is Chief Financial Officer with 15+ years of experience leading finance, accounting, and commercial operations for companies that invest in, design, develop, finance, construct, own, and operate utility-scale renewable energy generation assets, civil infrastructure, and transportation projects. Jon currently serves as CFO overseeing a $9 billion portfolio of investments in utility-scale photovoltaic solar, onshore wind, and distributed generation solar assets in the US with a combined system capacity of over 3.5 GWdc owned by Capital Dynamics, one of the largest owner/operator of PV solar assets in North America. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
Vice President of Finance & Accounting
Austin is a Director at Arevon Asset Management and brings over 15 years of experience in financial services and public accounting. Prior to joining Arevon Asset Management, Austin was the Chief Financial Officer at Sub-Sahara Capital Group LP where he oversaw the firm’s operations, compliance, accounting and investor relations activities. Prior to Sub-Sahara Capital Group LP, Austin was an assurance senior manager with over 11 years of experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where his responsibilities included leading multi-national as well as private company audit engagements. Austin graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Masters in Accountancy and Information Systems. Austin is an active CPA in Arizona and a member of the AICPA and Arizona Society of CPAs.
Vice President of Asset Management
Anand is a Director of Asset Management at Arevon Asset Management and brings over 9 years of experience in Solar O&M. Prior to joining Arevon Asset Management, Anand held various roles at First Solar Energy Services starting from Performance Engineer to Technical Sales Manager. During the last 3 years at First Solar, Anand was responsible for capturing 3rd party O&M services and brought in more than $2.5 Million worth of Annual Margin via long term O&M contracts. Anand has a lot of experience in the O&M industry and is aware of various market drivers and technology improvements happening in the Solar Industry. Prior to that, Anand was responsible for performance reporting, analysis and Operations. Anand graduated from Arizona State University with a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering specializing in Energy & Power Systems and has a Bachelor’s degree in Technology for Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

Tiago Sabino Dias
Tiago Sabino Dias
Executive Vice President, Development
Tiago has over 10 years of clean energy experience. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, he held positions in the development and M&A team, as well as asset management, in Contour Global – a LSE listed IPP with focus on emerging markets and Europe. Tiago has also worked in an independent engineering company in Brazil, focused on hydropower feasibility studies and design. He has developed projects in three continents with experience in the full spectrum of renewable technologies. Tiago holds Bachelor’s degrees in Civil and Industrial Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC).
EVP of Origination
Andrew has over 20 years of energy trading and management experience. Prior to joining us, Andrew was Manager of Origination at Tenaska Power Services for 7 years where he was instrumental in building out their WECC energy trading and management business. Prior to Tenaska, he held positions at Black Hills Power and Midwest ISO. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Senior Associate – Development Partnerships
Will Schneider is a Senior Associate on the Arevon Energy Management team. Prior to joining Arevon, Will held positions at Altus Power America, as an Associate and Head of Asset Management for a portfolio of 150+ distributed energy systems and Conergy Holdings, developing the US Asset Management platform. Will also worked at ConEdision Solutions, helping to structure the distributed wind and solar platform for its first commercial investments. Will holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management from York College of Pennsylvania.
EVP Energy Storage
Mike brings over 15 years of experience in the renewable energy and energy storage industry to the team. Prior to joining Arevon Development Co., he led global sales and marketing for a leading energy storage technology manufacturer. Earlier in his career, Mike held executive leadership roles for the world’s largest manufacturers of solar panels (Trina Solar) and wind turbines (General Electric). Grunow graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and received his MBA in Finance from Columbia University.
Senior Managing Director – Head of Energy Infrastructure
John is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Energy Infrastructure. He has over 17 years of direct private equity investing experience, preceded by over 18 years of operations management. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, John was a managing partner at Bregal Energy, where he led a team exclusively focused on power generation and natural gas-focused investments. Prior to that he spent six years as a partner at CCMP Capital in Tokyo (formerly JP Morgan Partners) where he invested in energy and industrial opportunities. John also served as Chief Operating Officer at Densei Lambda KK, a publicly-traded Japanese corporation with eight factories located around the world and over 4,000 employees. Earlier in his career he led several large divisions of Invensys and Exide Electronics in the US and held positions in engineering, sales and general management at AT&T, and StraforFacom SA. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Vermont.
Sophie Xu is an Associate on the Arevon Energy Management team. Prior to joining Arevon Energy, she worked at Veeam Software as a data science senior analyst and at Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets as a private equity analyst. Sophie holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Yale University.
Shaughn is the Executive Vice President of Origination at Arevon Development Company. Shaughn was formally the CTO of CD Arevon USA, Inc. Prior to joining Arevon, he was the Director of Technical Development at CleanPath Ventures, where he was responsible for the technical delivery of their global solar PV portfolio. He brings to the team 10 years of experience in technical asset management of solar PV operations, having worked across multiple US states. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Environ mental Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara.

Director and Managing Director and Head of Capital Dynamics Clean Energy Infrastructure, Europe
Simon Eaves is a Director of CD Arevon and a Managing Director and Head of the Capital Dynamics CEI Team in Europe in Investment Management at Capital Dynamics. He is also a member of the Capital Dynamics Executive Committee. He has nearly thirty (30) years of energy, power and infrastructure related experience. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, Simon spent six (6) years in the infrastructure investment team of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (“ADIA”) where he was Global Head of Utilities, responsible for sourcing, executing and managing all utility-related investments for ADIA, primarily in Europe. Simon represented ADIA as a Director on a number of Boards of the portfolio companies. Prior to ADIA, Simon established and managed one of the first private equity funds focused on investing in the energy and infrastructure sectors in the Middle East. He started his career as a power developer both in the United Kingdom and internationally, before heading up teams focused on Power Generation project financing and advisory at Sumitomo Bank, PwC and Standard Bank in London. Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Swansea University.
Director and Chief Finance Officer of Capital Dynamics Clean Energy Infrastructure, Europe
Kirsty Usher is a Director of CD Arevon and the Chief Financial Officer of the Capital Dynamics CEI Team in Europe. Kirsty brings to the team extensive financial control and accounting expertise within the renewables sector. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, Kirsty worked for Arevon, directly providing services to Capital Dynamics’ UK assets. Additionally, she worked for four years at Novera Energy as Financial Controller and Wind Development Team Manager. She began her career at Ernst & Young, working in both the UK and Australia. Kirsty has a Masters of Physics degree from Heriot Watt University in the UK, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland.
Director and Principal of Capital Dynamics Clean Energy Infrastructure, Europe
Dario Bertagna is a Director of CD Arevon and Principal of the Capital Dynamics CEI Team in Europe. He is a renewable energy specialist having been involved in the sector for most of his career. Dario has experience in project development, financing and construction of a number of renewables projects in Europe and Africa and he has been involved in over EUR 350 million of renewables transactions. Prior to joining Capital Dynamics, Dario was an Investment Director at Bluefield Partners LLP and an Investment Manager at Platina Partners, where he has worked across multiple renewable energy transactions and project financings in the United Kingdom and Europe. His previous experience also includes roles at the international energy developer MedEnergy and in the Energy Corporate Finance team at Jefferies International. Dario holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Trades from University of Turin and a Master’s in European Business from ESCP Europe.
Finance & Operations Director, Arevon UK & Europe
Paul has over 10 years financial control, accounting and commercial experience within the renewables sector across a diverse range of technologies including wind, solar, landfill gas and coal mine methane. Prior to joining Arevon, he was Director of Finance for a private equity backed facilities management company and was part of the senior management team that successfully sold the business to a UK PLC. He began his career at a subsidiary of multinational building material group CRH PLC rising to Group Financial Controller where he was responsible for implementing Sarbanes Oxley. Paul has a BA Hons in Accounting & Finance, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
General Counsel, Arevon UK & Europe
Helen Down is the General Counsel of CD Arevon and works closing with the CEI investment team advising on the acquisition, management, financing and disposal of the UK and European renewal asset managed by Arevon. She sits on the board of all portfolio entities and is responsible for all legal matters within the platform below the fund. She also has legal and HR oversight of all matters within the Arevon business and across the portfolio of assets. Prior to joining Arevon Helen was the General Counsel of the Bluefield Group, a renewable fund investment and asset management business with over 500 MW of solar assets in the UK and Europe. Helen spent 10 years as a corporate transactional lawyer with a focus on tech and energy businesses at international law firm Bird & Bird and prior to that trained at US firm Shearman & Sterling in London, where she qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2004.
