Arevon Ranked in Solar Power World’s 2025 Top Solar Contractors List as one of the Nation’s Leading Companies
Arevon placed in the top 5% of solar companies nationwide and obtained the #1 developer ranking in California, reaffirming its position as a leading solar developer and operator.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (July 28, 2025) – Arevon Energy, Inc., a leading American renewable energy developer, owner, and operator, has ranked in the top 5% of all solar companies nationwide, according to the 2025 Top Solar Contractors published by Solar Power World. In addition, after a series of successful project completions in California, Arevon was honored as the top developer in that state and also ranked as the 4th largest solar developer nationwide.
The United States installed nearly 50 gigawatts (GW) of new solar capacity in 2024, with solar and energy storage accounting for more than 80% of all new electric generating capacity added to the grid. Arevon is proud to have contributed to that milestone and currently operates more than 4.7 GW of solar and energy storage projects across 17 states. The company has also completed more than $3.8 billion in financing within the last two years, has more than 1.5 GW of solar and energy storage projects in construction, and holds a 9 GW development portfolio.
“We’re honored to be recognized as a top contractor by Solar Power World,” said Kevin Smith, Chief Executive Officer at Arevon. “This ranking not only underscores our commitment to delivering sustainable, American-made renewable power and strengthening the grid, but also highlights the hard work and dedication of the Arevon team and the construction firms with whom we partner.”
Industry-Leading Presence in California
Arevon, the #1 recognized developer in California, currently has more than 3.2 GW in operation and more than 800 megawatts under construction in the state. The company recently issued other announcements celebrating achievements at several of its California projects, including the start of operations at its Peregrine Energy Storage Project, its Eland 1 Solar-plus-Storage Project, its Vikings Solar-plus-Storage Project, and its Condor Energy Storage Project. Arevon also announced offtake agreements for its Cormorant Energy Storage Project and its Avocet Energy Storage Project and closed financing on its Eland 2 Solar-plus-Storage Project. Condor Energy Storage received the North America Storage Deal of the Year Award, and Vikings Solar-plus-Storage was the recipient of IJGlobal’s Renewables Deal of the Year – Energy Storage Award.
Published annually, Solar Power World divides American solar companies by services and markets and then ranks them according to the total kilowatt capacity of the projects they installed over the last calendar year.
“At a time when the federal government is doing everything it can to cut solar power down, the gigawatts put up by our 2025 Top Solar Contractors emphasize just how crucial it is to our nation’s energy mix,” said Kelsey Misbrener, Managing Editor at Solar Power World. “We’re thrilled to recognize another outstanding class of Top Solar Contractors and look forward to persevering through legislative hurdles to celebrate our 15-year edition next year.”
