Arevon Ranked as one of the Nation’s Leading Utility-Scale Developers by Solar Power World
Arevon Achieves #2 Ranking Nationwide
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (July 24, 2024) – Arevon Energy, Inc., a leading renewable energy developer, owner, and operator, has been recognized as one of the top developers nationwide by Solar Power World. Following a series of successful project completions in 2023, Arevon is proud to have achieved the #2 ranking in the Top Solar Developers List.
Arevon’s current portfolio of more than 4 gigawatts (GW) of solar and energy storage projects includes nearly 400 megawatts that went into operation in 2023, reaffirming the company’s position as a leader in the development of utility-scale renewable power generation. In addition, Arevon currently has more than 2 GW of solar and energy storage projects in construction which will enter into operations in 2024 and 2025.
Arevon also led the nation as the largest developer in Nevada, with the 2023 completion of the Eagle Shadow Mountain Solar Project in Clark County, Nevada. Arevon collaborated with the Moapa Band of Paiutes to develop Eagle Shadow Mountain and its Moapa Solar Project on Indigenous lands.
“Arevon is pleased to have earned this recognition as a national leader in utility-scale solar development. Additionally, as evidenced by the Eagle Shadow Mountain Solar Project, our commitment to working collaboratively within the communities that host our sites remains steadfast,” said Kevin Smith, Chief Executive Officer at Arevon. “Our partnership with the Indigenous communities there was established through mutual respect, teamwork, and a shared vision of energy independence and economic stability. We look forward to continuing to develop, construct, own, and operate projects that provide our nation’s communities with clean, renewable power.”
Published annually, Solar Power World divides American solar companies by services and markets, and then ranks them according to the total kilowatt capacity of the projects they installed over the last calendar year.
“Solar projects in every market — residential to utility-scale — are getting bigger and oftentimes more complicated in scope, financing, and permitting. That’s why it’s all the more impressive when so many top installation companies have banner years,” said Kelly Pickerel, Editor in Chief of Solar Power World. “The Top Solar Contractors List is a great gauge for how strong individual companies are in their local markets.”
