The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Manager Pre-Construction, Early Stage, an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment as a key leadership team member of a rapidly growing company in one of the most important industries of the 21st century. The Manager Pre-Construction, Early Stage will lead our efforts to implement construction considerations, such as constructability and permitting, into the early stages of our development projects.
Job Description
The Manager Pre-Construction, Early Stage will report directly to the Director of Pre-Construction, Early Stage. The Senior Manager Pre-Construction, Early Stage will be responsible for early stage pre-construction activities across all Arevon utility-scale solar and energy storage development projects. Key responsibilities of the Senior Manager Pre-Construction, Early Stage include:
- Project Lead: Lead multiple concurrent projects at various phases of the development cycle.
- Permitting: Collaborate with internal and external parties and coordinate with the Director of Pre-Construction, Early Stage, to ensure key permits and associated requirements, obligations, and commitments are accounted for in project development and design. Examples of key permits include entitlement permits (CUP, SUP, etc.), grading and stormwater permits, building permit, encroachment permits, and crossing permits. Environmental permitting is led by another department within Arevon.
- Civil Collaboration: Provide Development Engineering guidance related to civil considerations of development projects, such as topography, stormwater, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Constructability Review: Review projects for constructability, including development assumptions, consultant reports, and jurisdictional requirements.
- Aerial Mapping Collection and Modeling: Acquire aerial mapping data, either through internal UAS team or via 3rd party vendor, to prepare digital project models for design and communication.
- Automate Analysis and Design: Partner with the Development Engineering team to continue development and automation for analysis and design in Python and GIS improving the efficiency and accuracy of our project planning phases.
- EPC Collaboration: Early-stage collaboration with Arevon preferred EPC partners to gather different perspectives on project risk. Potentially partner with EPCs on strategic projects with a “Design-Assist” model.
- Self-Starter: Self-starter with strong intercultural communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Present to Stakeholders: Confident in presenting material to C-Suite level executives and external stakeholders.
Experience Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in renewable energy project development, engineering, and/or construction.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in civil, mechanical, or electrical highly preferred.
- Self-starter with strong intercultural communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Confident in presenting material to C-Suite level executives and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office and associated applications including MS Project, Teams, and Power BI.
- Ability to travel (Up to 25%)

- 4-year degree from an accredited university in engineering, mathematics, or a related field
