The Position
Arevon is recruiting for the position of Analyst, Financial, Analysis & Planning (“FPA”), an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries for the 21st century. Reporting to the Manager, FPA, the Analyst, FPA will perform a wide range of financial duties as part of the team and autonomously within the FPA team.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting and Forecasting: FPA’s primary responsibility is to connect senior management’s long term “strategic plan” to reality. This person will help support this top-down, senior management driven document that will set high-level targets (revenue, net income, core strategic initiatives, etc.) for Arevon from 1-10 years in the future. FPA’s job is to develop the operating and financial plan required to achieve management’s strategic plan.
- Decision Support: FPA will also use data to advise management on decisions such as how to improve performance, minimize risk or capture new opportunities from within Arevon.
- Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives.
- Maintain, review, and improve existing financial models by standardizing and documenting sources of data.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project valuation models and investor reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to acquire the needed information to assist with decision making.
- Ability to work autonomously with little supervision while continuously ensuring alignment of objectives.
- Perform ad hoc analyses as needed.
Experience Requirements
- 2-4 years relevant finance and accounting work experience, preferably in FP&A.
- 1-2 years of experience in project finance, preferably in the energy/renewable energy space
- Experience in renewable energy is a plus, but not required.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and experience developing, building, and auditing complex financial models using Microsoft Excel. The use of macros is a plus.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP is a plus, but not required.
- Attention to detail and the ability to set and meet realistic deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
- Experience in PowerBI and/or NetSuite is a plus.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- CPA/CFA designation or willingness to pursue and complete these designations is a plus.
