Recognized for acquisition and financing of 8point3 Energy Partners 

NEW YORK – Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, today announced that its Clean Energy Infrastructure (CEI) team received the 2018 Financial Deal of the Year at the annual S&P Global Platts Global Energy Awards for its acquisition and financing of 8point3 Energy Partners. Capital Dynamics accepted the award at a dinner held on December 6th in New York City. The award is determined by an independent panel of industry leaders each year to recognize an exceptional transaction and commitment to the energy industry’s advancement.

Financing for the transaction was arranged by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and placed to multiple investors, including investors advised by Allianz Global Investors. Amis, Patel & Brewer, LLP served as primary legal counsel. Stoel Rives, LLP served as tax and regulatory counsel.
