Certification demonstrates Arevon’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse workplace and culture in the solar industry

NEW YORK and SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Arevon Energy, Inc., one of North America’s leading renewable energy companies, announced it has achieved bronze certification through the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (DEIJ) Certification Program from the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA). Earning this certification demonstrates Arevon’s commitment to creating a more inclusive and diverse workplace and culture in the solar industry.

“Our people are the most important part of our business. Arevon is honored that it’s being recognized for the work we have done to build a diverse and inclusive workplace,” said chief executive officer John Breckenridge. “As our company grows, so does our commitment to fostering a workplace where employees of all backgrounds feel valued and welcome.”

Arevon used its participation in SEIA’s DEJI Certification Program as a tool to review its policies to ensure equitable and inclusive representation was implemented company wide.

  • Arevon established a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Taskforce to cultivate a more inclusive work environment by removing barriers and biases in the workplace for all employees and vendors.
  • Arevon expanded an already-strong parental leave policy, offering 12 weeks of leave and an additional 12 weeks of flexible remote work for the primary caregiver.
  • Arevon is member of Renewables Forward, a CEO-level initiative committed to increasing diversity and inclusion across the renewable energy industry.
  • Arevon is implementing internal learning and development courses to facilitate DEIJ education throughout its team.

The SEIA certification program was designed by Diversity Certified Professionals and uses evidence-based approaches to improve diversity practices within companies. The program guides participants through a broad range of modules on diversity topics, requiring them to complete activities that help create a more inclusive work environment, serve the communities they work in, and attract, hire, promote, and retain diverse talent.
